The Site:
This site is located in Islington. It is a commercial property located on the edge of a predominantly housing zone comprising ten two storey cottage type buildings, which were converted into commercial unit some years ago. The site is was unoccupied for some time. A local Housing Association was offered the site by the freeholder on a 20-year lease, and has agreed the terms subject to planning permission being granted.

General Information :
DGN were appointed by a housing association to produce a scheme with a maximum number of dwellings that could be accommodated on site having regard to the current planning restrictions. After prolonged consultations with the local planners the resulting scheme of 14 units comprising 2 x 1 bedroom units, 6 x 2 bedroom units, 3 x 3 bedroom units and 3 x 4 bedroom units was presented to the local planning authority for approval. The Planning approval was granted subject to section 106.
The project contact sum was £1.2 million.
